The Johannesburg Cap Classique & Champagne Festival 2019

Pop the corks! The Johannesburg Cap Classique & Champagne Festival 2019 is set to delight bubbly fans when it takes place on Saturday, April 13, and Sunday, April 14, from 12h00 to 17h00, at The Inanda Polo Club.

The event – proudly sponsored by Sanlam Private Wealth – will feature some of South Africa’s finest Methodé Cap Classiques, a selection of France’s best Champagne houses and Italian Prosecco brands.

Says organiser Darielle Robertson: “We are very excited to have bubbly from the likes of Genevieve, Krone, Simonsig, L’Ormarins, Black Elephant Vintners, Silverthorn, Pierre Jourdan, Boschendal, Paul Rene, Bon Courage, Graham Beck, Villiera and Pongracz as well as champagnes from Taittinger, Luc Belaire, Bollinger and Nicolas Feuillatte and Prosecco from Sartori, Da Luca and Valdo.”

More bubbly names are still to be confirmed.

Adds Robertson: “The festival will have an elegant, chic garden party feel with a blue and white dress theme and fabulous prizes, including magnums of Champagne, fragrance vouchers and much more.”

Food from a variety of stalls and stations will satisfy festival-goers' hunger pangs and live music will add to the chilled ambience of the day.

Says Carl Roothman, CEO of Sanlam Private Wealth: “We’re excited to be part of this luxury lifestyle event. It provides us with an ideal platform to collaborate with fellow masters of their craft and create an exclusive experience for guests.

“Over the two days, the same characteristics that inspire and drive us to grow and preserve wealth – such as practice, patience, meticulous attention to detail and even the need to take calculated risks – will also be evident in the delectable MCCs, Champagne, dishes and music on display.”
