Rugby fever is going strong and the biggest sporting event in the world is well under way! Boktown, a Springbok Supporters’ Club initiative, will be buzzing with rugby action and will deliver a riveting rugby experience that goes way beyond the 80 minutes on the field.
Montecasino has been voted the Best Place to Watch the Game by readers in the Best of Joburg awards for several consecutive years. More recently, Boktown scooped a Zam-Buk Real Makoya Award for being Gauteng’s Best Place to Watch the Rugby! The 5FM Hamman Time Heritage Tour travels around South Africa, visiting each province to find the most popular “people, places and hidden gems”. A category is drawn for each province and the public casts social media votes. The final decision, however, also takes metrics and previous insights into consideration. Throughout the Rugby World Cup, Boktown will live up to these accolades and be the preferred venue for catching the games and sharing the experience with other Bok supporters. Boktown’s festivities provide hours of family fun, with live entertainment, DJs, interactive fun activities for the kids, bars, delicious food, great competitions with amazing prizes and sponsor giveaways, as well as guest appearances from South African Rugby Legends and Bokkie, the official Springbok mascot.
Boktown will come alive on Montecasino’s (https://www.tsogosun.com/montecasino) outdoor Piazza on 28 September; 4 and 8 October (screening only, no additional entertainment); 19, 20, 26 and 27 October; 1 November (screening only); and the nail-biting final on 2 November.
