#Congrats to Durbanville Hills
Joburg's lovers of all things Wine and Bubbles headed down to The San Deck, Sandton to celebrate the arrival of Durbanville Hills Sparkling Rosé. Enjoyed under the sun with Live music and their very own custom made cocktails! The Afternoon was perfect for this new baby that all the guests were raving about. Ricardo Cloete from the wine team at Durbanville Hills was there and was just as excited about the brand and was being dubbed as the 'man behind the brand', something he shy's away from and says this new addition is really a team effort. He thanks the consumer for seeing the gap in the market because if it was not for their requests the Rosé would not have been here today. There's a huge global trend of Rosé so this I think is really a great move for Durbanville Hills and it will allow them to tap into new markets while giving the competitors a run for their money.
There's a Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz combination in this new Rosé and the thing with a Rosé is being able to pick the right grapes which I think was done with this new Durbanville Hills offering. Carbonation brings out flavour & colour in the wine, Ripe berry freshness coming through the nose, sweet flavours as well. They clearly added a bit of sugar that's why it has that semi-sweet freshness. Perfect chilled.
Food pairing? for me I'd pair it with seafood dishes and BBQ as well.
