Miss South Africa 2022 is returning to Gauteng ... and is set to take place during Women’s Month

The Miss South Africa pageant proudly returns to Gauteng, with the 2022 winner set to be crowned at Sun International’s flagship venue, the SunBet Arena at Time Square, Pretoria. The last Miss South Africa to take the title at this venue was Zozibini Tunzi in 2019 who went on to win Miss Universe later that year.

Miss South Africa 2022 pageant promises to be a spectacular and entertainment-packed show and will fittingly take place during Women’s Month, on Saturday, August 13. As in previous years, it will also be broadcast live on M-Net and Mzansi Magic and streamed for an international audience on the Miss South Africa app.

Says CEO of the Miss South Africa Organisation, Stephanie Weil: “We are looking forward to having Miss South Africa back in Gauteng and at the SunBet Arena at Time Square. It is an amazing venue to host a competition such as this and one that caters for contestants, entertainers and the audience. We’re also pleased to once again be holding the event in Women’s Month as the values of the Miss South Africa Organisation are so closely aligned with what Women’s Month stands  for.”

Time Square’s General Manager Ruben Gooranah says, “We are delighted that the Miss South Africa pageant is returning to Time Square and we look forward to hosting the lovely lineup of contestants this year. We know that the pageant has many loyal followers so our entire complex, from the casino to our restaurants and hotel, are all gearing up to offer visitors their best experience. We wish each of the contestants all the very best.”
