BOOK A GOURMET WINTER WEEKEND AT TINTSWALO BOULDERS 28 – 30 June 2024

Join Chef Dustin and indulge in a culinary weekend where gourmet delights await in the midst of Winter. Savour whiskey tastings, wine pairing with Catherine Marshall’s wines and delectable dishes that promise to warm the soul.

Tintswalo Boulders is presenting another of its popular winter gourmet weekends, presented by resident head chef, Dustin Hammond. Taking place from 28 to 30 June (2024), the culinary experience will kick off on Friday afternoon with an Oyster and Whiskey pairing served with Charcuterie boards, followed by a harvest style gourmet dinner.

On Saturday morning guests will awaken to the smell of freshly brewed coffee and pastries baking in the oven. Breakfast will be served on the terrace with uninterrupted views of Boulders Beach and the famous African Penguin Colony, before Chef Dustin takes the group on a fynbos and coastal foraging excursion in the area. Return to Tintswalo Boulders for lunch and an interactive session with Chef Dustin’s expert tips on planning and hosting a dinner party.

Dustin Hammond trained at the 1000 Hills Chef School in KwaZulu-Natal, before he gained experience in the kitchens of Hartford House and Nambithi Hills in Durban. In 2017 he joined Tintswalo Atlantic as Pastry Chef, before moving up the ranks to Sous Chef, and then over to Tintswalo Boulders where he was appointed as Head Chef in 2021.

Saturday afternoon will be free for relaxation – book a spa treatment, explore the treasures of Simon’s Town, take a drive to Cape Point, or relax fireside while watching the antics of penguins on the beaches along the boardwalk.

On Saturday evening, the highlight of the weekend will start with canapés, followed by an Elemental Banquet paired with Catherine Marshall wines, and presented by the winemaker herself. The extravagant 7-course dinner is designed around the Elements – earth, air, fire and water, each course showcasing the unique characteristics of a selected element to create a memorable culinary journey that will delight all the senses.

On Sunday morning a leisurely bubbly breakfast will be served, with a late check out at 15h00 to allow for some more optional spa treatments, or relaxation time for guests to enjoy the luxury and comfort of their beautiful suites before the start of another busy week.

Weekend rates start from R10 840 for 2 people, which is fully inclusive of luxury accommodation for 2 nights (Friday 28 and Saturday 29 June), as well as all meals and selected beverages as specified during culinary experiences. (Exclusions – beverages outside of culinary experiences, spa treatments and off-site activities, gratuity and any other items of a personal nature. Note spa treatments to be booked in advance.)
