The Marine Hotel in Hermanus is hosting a gourmet evening in collaboration with Creation, the award-winning Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge winery. Prepared by head Chef Oelof Vorster, the Food and Wine Pairing Dinner will be held on Friday 5 July 2024 in The Origins Restaurant.

Voted in 2023 by the ‘World’s Best Vineyards’ as number one in Africa and fourth in the world, Creation boasts a portfolio of terroir-reflective wines, including its renowned Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
The event will start with canapés and a glass of Creation Elation Cap Classique 2018, followed by two courses of delicious starters, paired with Creation Viognier 2023 and Creation Reserve Chardonnay 2023 respectively. Creation owner and winemaker JC Martin will co-host the dinner to introduce each wine, including the 2022 Creation Reserve Pinor Noir which will be perfectly paired with the main course of beef fillet. Dark chocolate and blackberry opera torte concludes the five-course gastronomic event, enjoyed with the sweet temptation of a glass of 2022 Creation Fine Cape Vintage.
