STORIES FROM THE OLD CALABASH @ Peoples Theatre - an ideal outing to the theatre this Heritage month - and take the family too!

 Peoples Theatre are delighted to announce their 3rd production of the year - Stories from the Old Calabash - with a strong focus on the richness of African storytelling.



There’s no better way to celebrate Heritage Month than with an amazing Peoples Theatre original production – enjoy Stories from the Old Calabash on stage at Peoples Theatre for a strictly limited season from 

10 – 29 September 2024.


Stories from the Old Calabash draws from the richness of African storytelling, with magical and grand stories of wonderous events that have been passed on from generations to generations. 


This production is a collection of indigenous folk tales from across the continent to inspire, entertain and educate. This interactive specifically curated production will tell tales of people from all races, colours and creeds while promoting literacy in both young and old


Join us this Heritage month to explore with creatures and characters across the majestic savannah.  Stories from the Old Calabash is accompanied with an assortment of well-known pop music hits that all will enjoy, beats and melodies rooted firmly in African soil that will get the audience members up on their feet. This show is one not to be missed!!
